For me, music was, and continues to be, my life preserver. When I was growing up, I had some tough times. My cello became my safety zone and music showed me there was a path to joy that I didn’t think was possible. And what I give to my students has become so much more than how to play the cello. I give students a sense of accomplishment and discipline that gives them confidence…

I believe music studies can and will prepare a student for all that the world will present. Not only do I teach the mechanics of cello playing, but I impart the capacity to learn, absorb and apply knowledge. I believe that cello lessons with me are a conduit for “learning how to learn” which can be applied to any form of education. Not to mention the sheer joy of playing the world’s most beautiful instrument!
I learned to play the cello from some of the world’s finest cellists. I learned to teach by translating what I learned to into a language crafted for the individual player. I learned to love teaching by witnessing the growth and development of my students. I have seen the younger students evolve not only into fine cello players, but also into fine young adults. As for my adult beginners, the joy of stepping away from “adulting” creates a very unique bond. Because of the joy every type of student has brought to my studio, I enjoy teaching at all levels. But…the student must practice! The lessons are only the guidelines. What the student does between lessons is where the magic develops!

One-on-one lessons for cello students of all ages and all levels. I have had fantastic results teaching online cello students with! From students who have gone on to be professional musicians to adult beginners play for their own enjoyment. Whatever your level, I will tailor lessons to help you reach your individual goals!
COST:
30 minutes - $40
45 minutes - $65
60 minutes - $80
*Private lessons are paid for monthly.
MUSICIANS TOOLKIT (GROUP CLASS)
A bi-weekly course for beginning musical theory that will teach you the nuts and bolts of music. Important Basics such as clefs, key signatures, rhythms and tempo markings will supplement your private lessons.
COST:
30 minute class - $30
*Three registered students minimum are required in order for this class to run.
